How booking works

• Choose a tour and a departure date, or a date that suits you for a private tour.
• Tell us who is travelling and how to reach you.
• Review the price, what is included and the cancellation terms.
• Confirm your booking. We then confirm it with you by email.

Your booking terms are fixed

The price and cancellation terms shown when you book are recorded with your booking. If we change a tour's price or terms later, your booking keeps the terms you agreed to.

If you cancel

Each tour uses one of the policies below, and states which one on its page. What you get back depends on how many days before departure you cancel. Some tours keep a non-refundable part of the deposit; where that applies it is shown on the tour page and deducted before the percentage below is applied.

If we cancel

If we cancel for our own reasons, including a group departure that doesn’t reach six people, you choose a full refund of what you have paid, a new date or another tour, whichever policy the tour uses.

Changing your dates

One change of dates is free with 60 days’ notice. After that, we’ll tell you any cost before making a change. For other changes, such as who is travelling, contact us as early as you can.

Safety, weather and events outside our control

We change the route or dates at no extra cost. Because guides, drivers and hotels are paid in advance, we can’t refund in cash in these cases: everything you’ve paid stays as credit for 24 months.

For routes covered by an official travel warning, we’ll ask you to confirm in writing that you’ve read it before booking.

Insurance

We strongly recommend cover for cancellation and medical evacuation. A Cancel For Any Reason policy covers situations these terms don’t.

Cancellation policies

Days are counted as whole calendar days before the departure date. Cancelling on or after the day of departure does not qualify for a refund.
