Day 1

Arrival in Addis Ababa - Arba Minch

Your extraordinary journey with Dejene Ethiopia Tours commences with your arrival at Bole International Airport.Regardless of your arrival time,our team will be there to welcome you.For morning arrivals, you can start exploring after checking in to your hotel; for afternoon or evening arrivals, your adventure begins the following day.

Day 2

Arba Minch - Jinka

Embark on a captivating boat trip on Lake Chamo, where you’ll witness crocodiles basking in the sun along the lakeshore. As you drive to Jinka, you’ll traverse through regions inhabited by diverse ethnic groups like the Konso, Tseme, Benna, and Ari. In Jinka, a visit to a nearby Ari village will provide insight into their unique way of life.

Day 3

Mago National Park

A dawn drive takes you to Mago National Park, where you’ll engage with the Mursi people renowned for their distinctive clay lip plates. In the afternoon, explore the Omo Valley museum in Jinka, delving into the history and heritage of the region.

Day 4

Jinka - Turmi

Your journey leads you to Turmi, the heartland of the Hamer people. These vibrant communities are known for their intricate body decorations and distinctive clay and ochre hairstyles. Immerse yourself in Hamer village life, forging connections with the locals.

Day 5

Karo Excursion

Venture to Murele with a stop at Kangaton to visit a Nyangatom village. Continue to Murele and engage with the Karo people, famed for their elaborate body paintings. Return to Turmi, where the evening promises more cultural insights

Day 6

Omorate Excursion

Experience an authentic excursion to Omorate from Turmi, crossing the Omo River via a traditional canoe or the newly built bridge for an optional tour vehicle crossing. Engage with the Dasanech tribe, one of the Omo Valley’s numerous and seminomadic communities. Return to Turmi in the afternoon.

Day 7

Turmi - Konso

Embark on a journey to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage site celebrated for its highland terraces and well-planned villages. The unique structure of Konso villages, with their generation poles, reflects the rich cultural and historical significance of the region.

Day 8

Konso - Hawassa

Travel to Hawassa, a lakeside town, with a fascinating stop en route at a Dorze Village in the Guge Mountains. The Dorze are known for their distinctive beehive-shaped bamboo houses, showcasing their architectural ingenuity.

Day 9

Hawassa - Bale Mountains

Prepare for a mesmerizing drive to Bale Mountains National Park. Here, you’ll meet with a park guide and embark on an afternoon hike. The park’s endemic wildlife, including Menelik’s Bushbuck and the Mountain Nyala, alongside diverse bird species, will enrich your experience

Day 10

Bale Mountains - Addis Ababa

Embark on a picturesque drive to Addis Ababa, pausing at Rift Valley Lakes renowned for their unique birdlife. Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, indulge in optional souvenir shopping if time allows. A memorable farewell dinner at a traditional Ethiopian restaurant, complete with cultural performances, awaits. Conclude your journey with a transfer to the airport for your late-night departure or additional hotel nights, upon request.
